Well! I assume nobody has plans for tomorrow night, correct? If there are no objections, I'll be hosting the party I mentioned last time in the first house tomorrow night! Since I doubt that we'll receive any unwelcome guests, there's no need to inform me as to whether you're coming or not, but I certainly hope that you all do attend.

Mr. Shirogane and I have discovered something fairly alarming-or, rather, two things that are fairly alarming. First, the door that has recently opened in my dresser has opened to what seems to be a hallway with another door at the end of it. The hallway is far too long to open into my neighbor Mr. Shinra's room, as there is only a small space between our rooms-which brings me to my next point.

Has anyone seen Mr. Shinra leave? I never heard him go, and his room appears to have returned to the state that it was in before he arrived. Even his name has been wiped off his journal. I am not too sure if he left while I wasn't paying attention or if he simply disappeared, but... it's something to look into, regardless. I also suggest that everyone who has had a door open in their room investigate them to see if the same effect is prevalent in all of them, rather than just mine. You can see the length of the hallway if you use a candle to light it up.

On another note that is unrelated to Mr. Shirogane's investigation of my room but related to the topic of odd occurrences, I have had trouble sleeping lately due to... those odd night chills. I can hear laughter and music downstairs, so... perhaps we should arrange to sit down there and listen? Considering how dreary this affair has been thus far, I think we should make a sort of a party out of it! Not enough that we're having too much fun to pay attention, of course, but a bit of food and drink might make staying up to listen to ghostly conversations a bit more bearable. What do you all say?

...How curious.

It appears that the door in my dresser has opened slightly, but I can't pry it open any further.

Mr. Shirogane, would you be interested in taking a look at this? You're more experienced with this than I am, I think.

This really does put a damper on my plans for today.

As I was looking through my closet this morning and pondering upon what to wear, I stumbled upon something... actually, I'm not sure if it was there before or not, but there's now a door in there.

How very queer. It doesn't seem to want to open, either, and believe me, I've tried quite a few things to get it to do so. I'm really getting too old for this sort of thing.

I wonder what could be behind it? In all probability, I'd imagine it would be a clue.

[the writing that appears is of the messy sort used mostly by doctors and politicians. It appears in chunks, as though the writer's been spending time flipping back and forth through the notebook or thinking very hard about what to write.]

How very curious! I must say, the fact that I’ve disappeared to here is interesting enough-especially the fact that it seems that my secretary won’t even notice I’m gone! How wonderful! It’s like a surprise holiday!

In any case these notebooks are quite the marvel. Think of all the practical applications! …You are people writing in these, right? I’d hate to be on the wrong end of any of this ‘spiritual activity,’ hahaha!
